In Susana Botana’s work, stone ceases to be a limit and becomes a passage.
Póros is an exhibition bringing together sculptures made of limestone, sandstone and alabaster, marked by erosion and porosity. In each piece, the artist explores bone-like forms drawn from human and animal bodies, reflecting the passage of time and the slow decomposition of matter into dust.
The Eduardo Chicharro space at Palacio Los Serrano hosts this solo exhibition as a sculptural journey that engages in dialogue with the underground architecture of the space. The descending access transforms the visit into an experience akin to the geological exploration of a cave or a moment of introspection characteristic of a chapel.

La escultora madrileña Susana Botana exhibe en el Palacio Los Serrano un recorrido por sus últimos 20 años de trayectoria.
En la obra de Botana, la piedra deja de ser límite para convertirse en tránsito, tal y como puede contemplarse en la muestra.
El título de la exposición procede del término griego antiguo ‘póros’, utilizado para designar un pasaje, medio o vía de comunicación.
